The Steam Clean Process

When it comes to steam cleaning most people have heard of the term but don’t know what it means. People generally know that it’s related to carpet cleaning and other furniture cleaning techniques.

The process of steam carpet cleaning uses two hoses. One hose with cleaning solution and hot liquid will spray out onto the carpet. The other hose will use suction to remove the liquid after the area has been cleaned. This leave less moisture in the rug and it will dry faster.

Steam cleaning doesn’t actually use steam in its cleaning process. The proper term is pressurized hot water extraction. The process starts with machinery that will heat water to its boiling point. When that water is in use, steam comes out through the water hose. It may appear that “steam” is cleaning out the carpet in the process.

There are many benefits to using steam cleaning to clean your carpets. The main benefit is that your carpet will receive a deeper cleaning which isn’t possible with regular cleaning. For one point, steam cleaning uses specialized equipment that heats water to its boiling point. Regular methods and rental equipment doesn’t have this feature.

Since the water is hot and pressurized, steam cleaning will get dirt out that is trapped deep into the carpet. There is an immediate noticeable difference to the carpet that doesn’t compare to other methods used. Carpets will not only feel noticeably clean but rug fiber will also become more vibrant.
